摘要
本文根据大量英文原始档案资料,叙述了1914年7月3日西姆拉条约的签订过程,以及英俄两国围绕西姆拉条约所做的利益交换,最后揭示了西姆拉条约的非法本质。文中将中国和西藏并举等这类西方学者普遍使用的错误提法,并不代表译者及本刊的观点,请读者明辨。
Based on many original archives and materials, this paper presents an account of the process ofthe Simla Convention signed on July 3rd, 1914, and the exchange between the British and Russian governments.Finally, the author revealed the illegal nature of the Simla Convention. The translator and this journal do notagree with the wrong opinions such as treating China and Tibet as an equal and readers' discretion is needed.
