摘要
雪漠的"大漠三部曲"描绘了世纪之交中国西部农民真实的生活图景,如何看待这一生活图景,既关系到对雪漠文学成就的评价问题,更关系到西部大开发进程中农民的命运问题。从传统走向现代是20世纪以来中国社会不可逆转的进程,当我们面对"现代之光"烛照下的"沙湾"世界时,除了欣喜于沙湾农民的素质在现代化进程中逐步提高,物质、精神生活日趋丰富之外,如何应对现代生活中粗鄙、恶俗的价值观所造成的人文生态的恶化,更显得刻不容缓。这也许正是雪漠的"大漠三部曲"带给我们的深刻的警示。
＂Desert Trilogy＂by Xue Mo depicts the life of farmers in West China at the turn of the century.How to interpret the visible life relates to the evaluation of Xue＇s literary achievements,and more importantly to farmers＇ fate in the Western Development.It was an irreversible process that China transformed from a traditional society to a modern one since the20 th century.As Shawan is exposed to the＂modern light＂,we feel elated that farmers have progressively improved their qualities and enriched their life materially and spiritually amidst modernization.However,it is of more significance to deal with the deteriorating human ecology caused by vulgar values.It is probably the potential profound warning conveyed by Xue Mo in his Desert Trilogy.
