摘要
本文探究工程师所受高等教育的质量对其职业发展水平的影响。在清华大学教育研究院开展的针对装备制造业工程师的"卓越工程师计划"调查问卷的基础上,利用最小二乘法(OLS)以及纠正高考择校自选择偏误的倾向分数配对法(PSM)分析了工程师所受高等教育的质量对工程师收入水平、晋升为工程师所需时间的影响。得出了接受较高质量的高等教育对其职业发展水平具有显著正向影响的结论。这一发现对个人高等教育选择和高等工程教育资源配置方式有重要参考价值。
The paper focuses on the effect of higher education quality on engineers’ career development.Based on the data collected in the questionnaire of "Elite Engineer Project"targeting at engineers within the equipment manufacturing industry,the Institute of Education of Tsinghua University uses ordinary least squares(OLS)and propensity score matching(PSM),which is able to rectify the selfselection bias generated by college choices,to analyze the effect of higher education quality on engineer’s income and promotion speed.It could be concluded that high quality of higher education has a significantly positive effect on career development,which provides some reference for individual’s higher education choice and the resource allocation for higher engineering education.
