摘要
妈祖进香是妈祖信仰行为的重要内容。近年来,随着妈祖影响力的不断增强,各类妈祖进香活动日渐频繁,妈祖进香活动成了妈祖信俗延续且不断扩展的一个重要表现。以维克托·特纳的"朝圣"概念为视角,理解妈祖进香仪式过程中的"朝圣"内涵,并就进香行为本身对妈祖信众的心灵冲击与现实生活的影响加以分析。在妈祖进香过程中,信众通过大范围、长时段内的进香行为不断重申着民间信仰主动适应当代社会的积极性,而进香过程中的能动者——信众,也在"朝圣"过程中进行了生命体验的更新,反观自我,增进群体生活认知与相互认同。
Mazu pilgrimage is one of the most important activities of Mazu belief.In recent years, with the growing influence of Mazu, all kinds of incense offering activities to Mazu are becoming more and more frequent, which embodies the continuity of Mazu belief.This trend shows that folk belief is developing with vigorous vitality in contemporary society.From the perspective of Victor Turner＇s“pilgrimage” concept, the paper discusses the connotation of the process of incense offering to Mazu, and analy-zes its impact on Mazu believers’ mentality and their life.Besides, this paper argues that the longtime and large-scale ceremo-ny of incense offering to Mazu reaffirms that the folk belief has been actively adapting itself to the contemporary society, and offers an opportunity for the believers not only to renew their life experiences and self-awareness, but also to increase the mutual rec-ognition and identity of each other in the process of pilgrimage.
