摘要
为推动课堂教学创新,采用问卷调查为主、访谈为辅的方式,对浙江省内高职商务英语专业学生的跨文化交际能力与英语语言能力及相关问题进行测试调查。调查显示,学生自评英语语言能力要差于英语考级成绩;学生具备良好的跨文化交际态度和基础知识,但缺乏中层与核心跨文化交际知识,同时跨文化交际技能较差,进而导致跨文化交际能力的不足。研究发现,学生英语听说读写译能力越好,其跨文化交际能力越强。研究结论表明,可从编制高职跨文化教学大纲和教材,开发高职跨文化教学模块和课程,采取多种跨文化教学方法和策略,利用网络文化教学平台和资源,提升教师跨文化教学能力和水平等几方面创新课堂教学。
To promote the classroom-teaching innovation, this paper investigated students' intercultural communication competence in relation to their English language skills and some other related problems. It is found that the students' self-reported English language skills are poorer than what their College English Test scores predict. Students seem to have good intercultural communication attitudes and knowledge, but they are not familiar with mid-level and core knowledge of intercultural communication and not good at intercultural communication skills which may contribute to unsuccessful intercultural communication competence. The results also show that intercultural communication competence is positively associated with listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation skills of English. Thus, for innovating classroom teaching, it is suggested to prepare cross-cultural teaching syllabus and textbooks, develop cross-cultural teaching module and curriculum, take many cross-cultural teaching methods and strategies, use network culture teaching platform and resources, and improve teachers' cross-cultural teaching ability and level and so on.
