摘要
民众图书馆是实施社会教育的主要机关,是城市中重要的公共文化空间。民国南京作为"首善之区",对于图书馆建设极为重视。南京民众图书馆主要开展图书的流通与推广,成立读书会,指导民众读书,图书展览等多种形式的社会教育活动。通过此类活动,藉以教化民众,改善城市的文化氛围。
Civilian’s library is one of the most important social education institutions and common culture space in the city.As the capital of the Republican of China, Nanjing paid great attention to the construction of civilian’s library. Civilian’s library of Nanjing carried out various social education activities, such as circulating and spreading books, founding reading organization, directing the public to read, holding books exhibition, etc. The city was aimed at educating the populace and improving atmosphere of culture by means of launching these activities.
