摘要
奥尼尔因幼年母爱不足而产生恋母情结与缺失体验。他在恋母的同时,又因幼年时母亲对他的疏离与隔阂而心生怨恨。于是他就把对母亲的爱与恨诉诸剧本,通过在剧作中贬母来"攻击"其母亲,发泄对母亲的怨恨。但仅贬母仍不能尽释心中之恨,他就在剧作中把妻子作为替罪羊,转移攻击妻子,从而使其剧作呈现杀妻情结。奥尼尔把对母亲的复杂的感情迁移到其剧作中其他女性人物身上,以各种方式影响到其作品中女性人物的塑造与他对整个女性世界的态度,从而使其作品呈现出明显的女性情结。
The lack of mother's love in his childhood makes Eugene O'Neill obsessed with Oedipus complexity and experience of deficiency. He loves his mother as well as hates her because of her ignorance and alienation of him in his childhood. Therefore,he projects his love and hatred of his mother into his plays, attacking his mother in his plays by degrading her to vent his hatred.However, when degrading his mother is not enough to vent his hatred, he shift his target of attack to the wife as a scapegoat in his plays, making his plays presenting Uxoricide complexity. He shifts his complex feeling toward his mother to other women and influences in more than one way the women characterization in his plays and his attitude toward female world, making women complexity apparent in his plays.
