摘要
反讽是西方文艺理论重要的诗学范畴,而且是理解艾略特及其诗歌绕不开的关键词。从最初的修辞技巧,再到反讽的诗学层面和哲学层面,艾略特诗歌中的反讽诗学不断发展,不断成熟,并且在不同阶段呈现不同的特点。它不仅仅是一种语言修辞技巧,并且成为诗歌的一种创作方法和结构原则,是观照、反思世界的一种辩证性的思维方式和哲学态度,更是对世界复杂性、矛盾性、悖谬性的一种诗性回应和智慧表达。
Irony,in the Western literary theoretical framework,is an important poetic instrument,which is also an inevitable keyword to understanding Eliot and his poems. It works first as a rhetorical skill,and then to the level of poetics and philosophy. Irony in Eliot's poems develops and matures with different features at various phases. It is not only a rhetorical skill but also a writing skill and structural principle,which is a dialectical thinking way and philosophical attitude observing and reflecting the world. This is also a poetic response intellectual expression to the complexity,contradictoriness and absurdity.
