Objective:To know about the frequency the degree of severity, trouble degree of symptoms and statusquo of life quality of gastrointestinal cancer patients with chemotherapy,in order to provide a theoretical basis for improving the symptoms management of gastrointestinal cancer patient with chemotherapy, and improving their quality of life. Methods:This study was a cross-sectional descriptive design. The convenient sampling Method, the Symptom Assessment Scale(MSAS)and FACT-G scale were used to do a evaluation for 494 cases of gastric cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. Results:The physical symptom burden score of gastric cancer with chemotherapy patients was(1.15±0.58),the mental symptom burden score was(0.62±0.36),general distress index score was(1.35±0.62),the total score of MSAS was(0.92±0.45);the score of quality of life was(67.87±11.17);symptom burden score of each dimension and quality of life score showed correlation;multiple regression showed that, physical symptom burden and psychological symptom burden were the strong influencing factors of life quality(R=0.590,P<0.001).Conclusion:The symptom burden of gastrointestinal cancer chemotherapy patients is heavier, but the quality of life is not high.Symptom burden in some dimensions can be used to predict the quality of life, and medical personnel should pay attention to the assessment of patients' symptom burden,to explore the effective intervention measures,so as to improve the quality of life of cancer patients.
