摘要
学界对埃德加·爱伦·坡的短篇恐怖小说《黑猫》的研究,一直以来,其研究重点都集中在人性、恐怖氛围的营造、人与自然的关系等方面,目前还无人从女性主义角度分析其中的妻子形象。而作为海明威的短篇小说代表作之一,《雨中的猫》中所体现的两性关系一直以来都是学界研究的热点。以《黑猫》和《雨中的猫》为研究文本,比较其中妻子形象的异同,并展现女性意识与地位的变化。研究发现,两个文本中妻子形象的不同点,展示了女性意识从无到有的进步过程,而两者的诸多相同之处则显示了80年间女性意识觉醒的局限性,女性地位并没有得到根本改变,意识的觉醒最终幻灭。
The Black Cat is a representative work of horror fictions and the research on it is mainly focused on humanity, creation of the horrible atmosphere, the relationship between human and nature, etc. Up to now, there is no research on the image of wife from the perspective of feminism, who is described in sever- al lines. However, the relationship between men and women in Cat in the Rain, one of Hemingway＇s masterpieces, is a hotspot in research. Taking these two novels as the subjects, this paper tries to show the change of female consciousness and women＇s position by comparing the images of wives in these two stories. It is found that the progress of female consciousness can be shown from the differences between these two wives and the limitations can be demonstrated by analyzing their similarities, which means that women didn＇t have a complete change in their positions and their consciousness vanished into disillusion.
