Tell Those Grounded Chinese Stories WellInspired by Nature, Liu Shaotang, sparing no efforts, had created a series of pieces of work about the canal in his hometown. He was very popular, known as the Son of the Canal, as his work was quite grounded, revealing the voice of people living along the canal. Among our literature works, being grounded is not new. Lu Xun, Shen Congwen and many others are all grounded writers. The special topic of Liu Shaotang in this issue is in memory of Liu Shaotang, and more, a call for more Chinese-style grounded literature works close to common people.
