摘要
基于电路设计的实际需求,提出了一种新的Pcell开发思路,即利用SKILL语言开发输出输入接口程序引入第三方EDA工具,实现Pcell跨平台的工艺仿真参数计算和反馈,并以金属电容的计算自动化展开研究。通过参数化定义金属电容、模块化设计以及利用Cadence Skill程序编译,成功地实践了这一新的开发方式。这一方法能够支持电路设计者在前端电路设计时就能方便快速得计算金属电容,并能把计算结果实时反馈于电路中,大大地提高了电路设计效率。
In this paper a new Pcell design methodology is presented for MOM capacitor. In order to meet circuit design needs, a third-party EDA tools can be introduced by several developed Skill interface functions. It can be applied to the cross-platform device parameter calculation and back-annotation. Auto-calculation of MOM capacitor is developed based on this design methodology. And it is successsfully developed by MOM capacitor parameterization, block design and Cadence Skill programming. In the front-end part, circuit design enginner could instantiate MOM Pcell to calculate capacitance conveniently. Simultaneously, the calculated result is also back-annotated. Circuit design can be speeded up greatly.
