摘要
对广州湾地区的研究,大致可分为三个阶段。第一阶段是作为法国租借地的时期。研究者以外国人为主,成果主要是对当地基本情况的介绍;第二阶段为中国收回后半个多世纪的时期。研究转入历史领域,以湛江学者为主,研究重点为当地人民抗击法国侵略的斗争;第三阶段始于21世纪初期。新一代的湛江学者引入海外档案,并采用新的视角,发掘新的课题,研究与翻译双管齐下,使此项研究进入更上层楼的新阶段。
The Kwangchowan research has experienced three stages. The first stage corresponds to the time when the French occupied Kwangchowan; researchers are mainly the foreigners; the achievements of the research are mostly the basic introduction of the region. The second stage is the time after China taking back Kwangchowan, covering more than half a century; the research turns to the realm of its history, especially its history of anti--French; researchers are mostly the local ones. The third stage initiates from the beginning of the 21 century; the new generation of Zhanjiang scholars play the key roles in the research, with abroad documents examined, new perspectives introduced and new projects launched; literatures are edited and the foreign archives are translated. It is this third stage that shows the new development of Kwangchowan research.
