摘要
托马斯·哈代是英国维多利亚时期一位著名的小说家,这位跨越了两个世纪的文学巨人因创作了不少反映悲剧思想的小说而闻名于世。本文试以哈代"环境与性格小说"的奠基之作《远离尘嚣》为例,从作者的命运观、宗教观以及自然观三方面来分析他的悲观主义思想。
Thomas Hardy is a great novelist in Victorian Age. This literary master living in the 19 th century to the beginning of 20 th century is famous for his novels which reflect his pessimistic thoughts. This article tries to analyses Hardy＇s Pessimistic Ideas reflected in Far from the Madding Crowd which lays a foundation for his ＂novels of environment and character＂. It is carried out from three aspects： the author＇s view on destiny, religion and nature.
