摘要
隐喻具有认知功能,是语言得以创新和丰富的重要来源。研究表明,中英文化不同,概念思维不同导致部分词汇及句子表达存在差异性。这种差异是学生产出不地道语言表达的根源。传统的写作教学,往往从语法及措词角度强调表达准确性,无法保证语言表达的流利性、多样性及丰富性,而在写作中培养隐喻意识是克服这一不足的有效方式。写作在一定程度上是对词汇和隐喻思维的运用,因而,写作学习是一种输出性的学习,是学生综合能力的体现。因此,在英语写作教学过程中输入概念隐喻理论就要着重加强学生对中英语言中概念隐喻及其表达差异性的对比学习,培养学生在写作中的隐喻意识,发展语言表达的隐喻能力。这有助于提高学生写作中语言表达的多样性水平,也使表达更为准确和地道。
Modern cognitive linguistics regards metaphor is the bridge between the past knowledge and the new one. It is one way of cognition as well as the source of language expressions. Metaphor has close relationship with language teaching. Study shows that culture and ways of thinking may lead to different language expressions. This is the root of inaccurate and unauthentic expressions. To ensure the accurate language, English writing mainly focus on grammar and word choice. The teaching methodology fails to produce rich and fluent language. So to raise students’ metaphorical awareness is urgent and important. By introducing Conceptual Metaphor into English writ-ing,strengthening the comparison and contrast of conceptual metaphor in both the Chinese and the English lan-guage, we can help students develop metaphor awareness and metaphorical ability. The teaching practice shows that it can enrich the language expressions as well as generating native and accurate expressions in English writing.
