摘要
地方高校、尤其是新建本科院校向应用技术类型高校转型发展,乃大势所趋。这一趋向对设置应用英语专业提出了诸多要求。该专业设置具有较为丰厚的内涵,从价值论的角度看,它包含多重维度:坚持应用方向,是其必然的价值前提;凸显地方特色,是其本然的价值因子;提供技术训练,是其当然的价值选择;夯实专业基础,是必应然的价值指向。既彼此独立、又互为倚靠的四重价值维度,共同构成和体现了应用英语专业的价值内涵与全部本质。
It is an irresistable trend for the local colleges and universities, especially the newly-upgraded undergraduate university, to realize its transition into application and technology-based types of colleges and universities. This tendency brings forward more demand upon the setting of the applied English major. The major setting has a rich connotation that, according to the axiology, is multi-dimensional： adhering to the application direction is its inevitable value premise; highlighting the local characteristics is the natural factors of its value; providing technical training,of course, is its value choice; solid professional foundation is naturally its value orientation. These four dimensions, which are independent of each other but co-exist with each other, constitute and reflect the values of the applied English major and the nature of it all.
