摘要
山西茶商兴起于明代的茶马互市,在清中期步入鼎盛,清末走向衰落。他们依地理之便,将茶叶贸易由汉、藏、蒙边境扩展到新疆、蒙古腹地以及俄国境内,之后又以茶庄为依托积极开设票号,促进了蒙古地区的经济发展,有利于地区之间的经济贸易往来。
Shanxi tea merchants originated from the tea and horse trade in Ming Dynasty,developed to its peak in mid Qing Dynasty,and faded in late Qing Dynasty. They strived to expand tea trade to Mongolia and Russia,set up trade shops on the basis of tea shops. They promoted the development of Mongolian economy and trade between China and Russia.
