摘要
调查了元话语对中国EFL学习者阅读理解能力的影响。研究结果显示:元话语组的阅读理解成绩要显著高于无元话语组;元话语组对语篇内容的理解及语篇中作者人际介入的认知情况都好于无元话语组;元话语训练对提高不同语言水平学习者阅读理解能力的效果均非常明显,其中中等水平组比高水平组和低水平组在元话语训练中获益更大。
This paper attempts to investigate the effect of metadiseourse upon degree of Chinese EFL learners achievement in reading comprehension. The results Show that the group receiving the original significantly outperformed the group with the modified metadiseourse-free version; the group receiving the original hada better understanding of the text content and the author's intrusion into the evolving text than the other group; metadiscourse training significantly facilitated L2 comprehension of learners of all language proficiencies, particularly for those with intermediata language proficiency.
