摘要
但丁在《神曲·地狱篇》采用象征手法,表达了丰富的宗教、道德、政治内涵。地狱作为负罪亡灵的囚禁之地,象征人类背离基督教信仰陷入的道德困境;为了杜绝罪恶,但丁创造了四种象征性形象,传达新时期人文主义思想:以维吉尔为象征,重视知识、理性、荣誉的道德完善作用;以自身为象征,强调文学应表现真实的人性;以"孤舟""苦难的旅舍"为象征,宣扬爱国主义和民族统一;以教皇尼古拉三世为象征,反对基督教会的腐败。丰富的象征意蕴使《地狱篇》成为《神曲》三篇中现实性最强烈、影响力最为深远、启迪最为深刻的篇目。
Dante has gave a full expression to political , religious and moral connotations in A Divine Comedy？ In-ferno by symbolism method .As the prison of the souls , the hell symbolizes human moral dilemma in departure from the Christian faith;in order to avoid evil , Dante has created four symbolic images to convey the new humanism：Virgil is a symbol of knowledge , reason , honor to morality;he is to express his literature idea of embodying the true human nature by himself; “Lonely boat” and “the suffering hostel” is to advocate patriotism and national unity;Pope Nicola III is to oppose the corruption in Christian Church .The most intense reality in Inferno makes it to be-come the most influential and profound part in the book of A Divine Comedy.
