Synthesis of 2,3-unsubstituted benzo [b] furans via the intramolecular cyclization of 2-aryloxyacetaldehyde acetals under the catalysis of Hβ zeolite

摘要 以商品化的Hβ沸石分子筛为固体酸催化剂,通过(2,2-二乙氧基)乙基芳基醚的分子内环化制备了一系列2,3-无取代苯并呋喃类化合物,收率为61%~80%.此外,商品化的Hβ催化剂经过简单洗涤可直接重复使用.研究路线所使用的起始原材料廉价易得且来源丰富,反应操作简便,环境友好. A heterogeneous process for the preparation of 2,3-unsubstituted benzo[b]furans has been developed by the intramolecular cyclization of 2-aryloxyacetaldehyde diethyl acetals. Commercially available Hβ zeolite was found to be efficient in this cyclization reaction and could be reused for several times without obvious loss of catalytic ability. Under the optimal reaction conditions, a broad range of functionalized 2,3-unsubstituted benzo[b]furans could be facilely obtained in moderate to good yields. This newly developed method was economic, easy to operate and environmental-benign.
