摘要
惠特曼一生锲而不舍地为民主政治而斗争。在《我听见美国在歌唱》这首民主之歌中,体现了民主、自由、平等这一主旋律。本文试从内容和形式两方面对本诗进行分析,进而阐释诗人的民主思想和写作特点。
Whitman has kept on fighting for democracy in his whole life. The theme of democracy, freedom and equality is illustrated in the poem I Hear America Singing, which can be called a song of democracy. This paper attempts to make an analysis of this poem from two aspects： the content and the form, therefore explaining Whitman＇s democratic thought and writing techniques used in the poem.
