As an influential figure in the western society of the 20th century, Albert Schweitzer advocated reverence for life, which nowadays is worth studying and flourishing. Meanwhile, as a distinguished medical scientist, he carried on a series of practical activities in his whole legendary and intelligent life, which clearly displays his noble medical ethics and his strong passion for medical ethics, including his love for life, human beings, and medicine, his ideal, his indifference to fame and wealth, as well as his unselfish devotion to medicine. Therefore, it is worthwhile to show respect for him and to learn from him for every medical staff and student.
