摘要
西拉雅文是17世纪荷兰占据台湾岛期间由荷兰宗教人员为平埔族群西拉雅人创制的一种拉丁文字,这种文字一直沿用到19世纪30年代。本文利用荷兰的中国台湾文献档案和存世的西拉雅文献讨论这种文字的创制背景及其在不同时期的演变。
The Siraya script was a Latin-based writing system invented by the Dutch missionaries for the Siraya Pingpu aboriginals during the 17th century when Dutch colonized Taiwan. The script was in use on the island until the 1830s. Based on the Dutch archival records of Taiwan and the existing Siraya documents, this paper discusses how the script occurred and evolved in different periods.
