Task-based teaching emphasizes learning in doing, which reflects people-orientation. This paper explores the appli-cation of task-based teaching in＂College English＂and some is-sues needing attention in designing task-based teaching activi-ties. The teaching approach improves students＇ ability of language application through transforming the teaching process into tasks.
