摘要
地中海东部蕞尔岛国塞浦路斯,独立后积极发展与欧洲国家关系,先后成为欧共体联系成员国,与欧共体建立关税同盟,并终于成为欧盟成员国。塞浦路斯分裂的特殊国情,入盟进程艰难曲折,多种因素错综复杂,内外矛盾相互交织,显示了塞浦路斯入盟的特殊背景和复杂原因,以及入盟后对塞浦路斯和欧盟乃至其周围大国的深远影响。
Cyprus,a tiny insular country in the east of the Mediterranean,actively developed her relation with European countries after independence,becoming a contact member country of the European Community first and then establishing a customs union with it,and finally became a member country of the Community. The special national conditions as a separated nation,the arduous and winding course of participating in the European Community,varied involved and complicated factors,and a combination of domestic and foreign contradictions made up the special background and complex reasons for Cyprus to participate in the Community,which had profound impacts on Cyprus itself as a European Community member,the European Community and big powers around.
