Marketing in the local library budget votes has been a significant effort for US public libraries to survive in the hard economic condition. Focusing on Troy Library's book burning party, OCLC's Geek the Library, and EveryLibrary, this paper discusses their backgrounds, scopes, and developments. How Chinese libraries can learn from these projects are also discussed as the conclusion.
