Dan Brown's novels have had active impact on world literature. This is inseparable from his thorough investigation of as well as profound concern for today's world. From his debut Digital Fortress to his masterpiece The Dan ~nci Code and to the newly-published Inferno, he has never ceased contemplating realistic ethical problems. Not only has he shown his respect for the reader's ethical needs, but has also deconstructed the dual opposition in an appropriate fashion. In this way, he has expressed his unique ethical insight and proposed his own resolution. Brown's novels have exposed man's survival crisis and faith crisis as well as moral crisis in a context of post industrialism. Moreover, they also touch upon such widely discussed issues as ecological ethics, sci-tech ethics, religious ethics and behavior ethics.
