摘要
《英国病人》自发表以来,关于其主题众说纷纭。互文关系在小说中的运用使文本的意义无限开放。通过对《历史》、《安娜·卡列尼娜》、《吉姆》、《圣经》等众多文学经典的否定、戏仿、引用、指涉、改写,《英国病人》书写了关于爱情、历史、国家、种族与身份等多元主题。
Since its publication, the theme of The English Patient has aroused the interests of many critics. Intersexuality is one of the unique characteristics in this novel and it is the use of intersexuality that makes its theme complicated and open. Through citation ,paro- dy, reference, adaptation of many classical novels, such as History, Anna Karenina, Kim, and etc. , The English Patient is about love, his- tory, nationality, identity and etc.
