摘要
20世纪90年代以来,为挽回华文教育的颓势,菲华社会展开了"拯救华文教育"的行动,以菲律宾华文教育研究中心、菲律宾华文学校联合会、菲华商联总会和菲律宾晋江同乡总会等为代表的社团积极主导和参与了华文教育改革的探索。改革进程可分为三个时期:1.解决华文教育的定位和华语教学的定性问题;2.完成了制订教学大纲、编制教材和改革教法的工作;3.围绕解决师资和考试问题展开探索。经过二十年的改革,在一些重大问题上已基本形成共识,也取得了一定成效,但值得指出的是:在族群融合的大背景下,挽回华教发展颓势的努力十分艰难,华文教育前景不容乐观。
Education is one of the "three treasures ( association, newspaper and school)" of overseas Chinese communi- ty, an important means of succeeding Chinese culture and keeping Chinese ethnicity, so that it's an important angle to view the overseas Chinese communities. The Filipino-Chinese education came into being in the end of 19th century, reached the peak in 1950s, then slipped to the bottom in 1970s because of the policy of Philipinization. A reform was undertaken to save the Filipino-Chinese education in the early 1990s, the disputes on goals and measures of the reform were furious in the past 20 years. In the situation of fusion of the Philippine-Chinese, I think it is hard to turn the declining tendency of Chi- nese education in the Philippines, and the prospect of the Chinese educational reform is still blurred.
