摘要
本文以国内高校1546名非英语专业本科生为被试,通过问卷调查、课堂观察及师生访谈等大规模实证研究考察大学英语课堂师生对大学英语课堂环境的认知与评价,从社会建构主义的理论视角探讨如何科学地评价与建构大学英语课堂环境,提高学习效能。研究结果为大学英语教育提供了一个新的视角:即可以通过改进大学课堂环境,改善学生的学习态度,提高其学习效能。
The paper investigates students and teacher perceptions of the College English classroom environment through questionnaire survey, classroom observation, student interviews and teacher interviews. The sample included 1546 non-English major undergraduates from seven universities in China. in the light of social constructivism, the paper discusses how to assess and construct College English classroom environment to improve students' learning outcomes. The results lend a new perspective on how College English class can be conducted in improving students' attitudes and academic efficacy.
