摘要
大运河的申遗成功，使作为大运河其中重要一段的山东再添一处世界遗产。这是山东继1987年和1994年泰山与“三孔”分别申遗成功的20多年来，再一次荣登世界遗产榜。
The Grand Canal successfully applied for world heritage, as the third world heritage in Shandong, the other two being Mount Tai(ranked in 1987) and Confucius Family Mansions(1994).There are 47 places as world heritage up to June 22, 2014. The world heritage rankings, as famous as the Beijing Olympics, represent the great achievements in cultural heritage protections of China. There are more and more sites turned into world heritages, so UNESCO limited the number of declaration and was strict with the categories which can be represented as signifi cant participants in the list of heritage..Heritage application is not the unique way of heritage protection, before the establishment of world heritage list, without any honorary title, most of intangible cultural heritage were handed down orally from generation to generation and it is more important for us to love our traditional culture with self-awareness of cultural protection.
