摘要
1878年英国差会“Church Missionary Society”进驻广西省北海市传教，1886年4月创建北海普仁医院，1889年在普仁医院毗邻建立普仁麻风院分院，积极引进近代西方护理科学，使护理工作职业化，推动了当地社会发展、女性解放，培养了一批本土护理专业人才，发展了北海的医疗卫生事业。
In 1878, Church Missionary Society entered Pakhoi for their missionary work. In April 1886, the Po Yan Hospital was set up in Pakhoi, and a Leper Settlement was established nearby in 1899. The modem western scientific nursing work was actively introduced, thus the work of nursing was professionalized, which improved the development of local society and the female emancipation, and a wealth of local nursing professionals were trained, the health career in Pakhoi was developed.
