摘要
国民性由传统形态向现代形态的变迁是社会整体现代化的核心内容和关键条件。在推动国民性变迁的因素中,社会经济和制度的变迁是国民性变迁的根本动力,文化是更为直接的因素。教育既是经济与制度推动国民性变迁的中间变量,又是文化推动国民性变迁的主要途径。国民性变迁的过程包括传统国民性弱点的淘汰、国民性精华的传承与创造性转化以及国民新人格品质的生成三个方面。上述三个方面的实现都必须以教育为其条件。
Transformation of national character from traditional to modern form constitutes the core content and fundamental qualification for social to be modernized. The transformation of economy and social structure are the essential factor for promoting the transformation of national character. Yet culture is a more direct factor .Education is not only as a important mechanism for economy and social structure to drive the transformation of national character, but also as a main route for culture to promote the transformation of national character. The process of the transformation of national character include three aspects. They are the elimination of the weakness of traditional national character, the heritage and the creative transformation of the essence of national character, and the generation of the new national personality quality. The implementation of the three aspects must be based on the conditions of education.
