World WarⅠ may have ended in 1918, but the violence and confrontation it triggered in the Middle East still haven't come to an end even today, almost 100 years after that fateful summer in 1914. Arbitrary borders drawn by self-interested imperial powers, Arab-Israeli contradiction provoked by the British, colonial division after WWI in contemporary Middle East by European powers, not only have carved the geopolitical situations and seriously hindered the political and social development of Middle Eastern countries, but also have left a legacy that the region has not been able to overcome, especially the rise of the political islamic movement.
