摘要
明成祖时期 ,维护商路畅通、保持贸易往来成为明朝对帖木儿朝的基本政策 ,亦是明廷“宣德化、柔远人”的一种手段。而帖木儿朝亦承认明的东亚大国地位。永乐、宣德和正统年间 ,双方联系密切。景泰以后 ,明朝国力下降 ,以消极保守的措施来维持双方的交往 ,而帖木儿朝亦不能提供明朝必需品来加强双方的往来 。
A friendly relationship was officially established during the period of Cheng Zu emperor, beginning with the return of embassy Fu An. The Timurids recognized Ming's power in Asia and the Ming awarded large amounts of gifts in replying the Timurids' mission during the periods of Yong Le, Xuan De, and Zheng Tong. After the Jing Tai period, the Ming found that it's financial ability was no more equal to his political ambition, therefore the costs of the rewards and the gifts issued from the Ming court were reduced, and the times of visits and the length of stay of the envoys were strictly restricted.
