Polypropylene (PP) was functionized with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA). The influence of the monomer concentration, reaction temperature, concentration of initiator and retention time on the grafted ratio was studied. The GMA grafted PP and pure PP were blended with Nylon 4 6 respectively. It is found that the mechanical properties of the alloy PP g GMA/PA are much better than that of the alloy PP/PA46, which shows the compatibility between nylon 4 6 and PP is improved.
