摘要
文章介绍了用硬件描述语言(HDL)实现循环冗余校验(CRC)的方法。
Redundant encoding is a method of error detection that spreads theinformation across more bits than the original data. Cyclic Redundancy Codes (CRCs) are a favored type of redundant encoding. Cyclic Redundancy Code checkers (CRCCs) check for differences between transmitted data and the original data. Data transmission applications use CRCCs extensively. In this paper,we described two methods of implementing CRCCs with Hardware Description Language (HDL)─Serial CRC computation and Parallel CRC computation. Some simulating results are also given respectively in the paper.
