This article provides a brief introduction dealing with the development of plastic pipes in recent years. Statistics of category structure of introduced plastic pipes from abroad, development trends and ratio of application at home and abroad and the governmental policies regarding plastic pipe application are listed. Meanwhile, analysis of Steel Wire Reinforced Plastic Pipes is particularly focused as a new product application in the field of pipeline industry.
