摘要
哈代和沈从文作为英中两国“乡土文学”的典型代表,其作品中有很强的美术性和音乐性,他们的主要代表作《德伯家的苔丝》(以下简称《苔丝》)和《边城》融合各种艺术手段,将画面和音乐视为文字之外的语义载体,填补了文字所不能表达的“空白”,丰富了文本的主题意蕴。
As prominent representatives of 'Rural Literature' respectively in Britain and China, Thomas Hardy and ShenCongwen drastically add some picturesqueness and musicalness into their works. Through analysis of these characteristics in Tessof the D'Urbervilles and Bian Cheng, the article focuses on filling the blankness left by literal readings, and integrating threekinds of artistic means to reconstruclure the reading of the text.
