摘要
本文简略地回顾了VLBI天体物理和技术方法的重要进展,并说明了作为观测手段的VLBI现阶段对课题研究的限制,主要体现在灵敏度不足、动态范围不足以及VLBI处理很费时这三方面。而这些困难将随地面VLBI的进展以及空间VLBI和毫米波VLBI的发展而改观。最后,简要地提及中国VLBI网的意义。
We present a brief review of VLBI techniques and astrophysics and mention the limitations of current VLBI observations, namely, sensitivity, dynamic range and time comsuming in imaging processing. It is expected that this situation will improve with the development of ground VLBI, Space VLBI and millimeter VLBI. Also mentioned is the role of the Chinese VLBI Network.
