摘要
在过去四十余年的发展历程中,礼貌研究领域取得了许多有价值的学术成果,却鲜见运用模因学理论对礼貌展开讨论。本文以模因理论为视角,围绕第三波礼貌研究范式下的代表性成果——礼貌实践观中的三个核心概念阐释了礼貌作为社会实践的模因属性。研究发现,作为一种评价性的社会实践,礼貌的模因属性本质上源自社会实践的模因属性,并且反映在道德秩序、时间和社会空间维度上的方方面面。把握社会实践的本质是理解礼貌实践的关键,从模因学视角考察礼貌现象有利于我们深入理解礼貌实践的本质以及礼貌研究发展的趋势。
In spite of many remarkable academic achievements in the field of politeness research,few attempts have approached politeness from the perspective of memetics. Focusing on the three key concepts in the theory of politeness as social practice,one of the representative theories in the third-wave research on politeness,the present paper seeks a memetic account of politeness practice. It is found that as a form of evaluative social practice,memetic attributes of politeness essentially originate from those of social practice,which can be observed from various dimensions of politeness such as the moral order,time and social space. Since understanding the nature of social practice is the key to that of politeness practice,exploring politeness phenomena from the memetic perspective can contribute to both our understanding of the nature of politeness and the development trend in politeness research.
