摘要
沙和尚在人物的属性和命名上显示出与孙悟空、猪八戒不同而与唐僧一致,这可能与其形象的来源有关。而把沙和尚放在取经故事的演化中进行考察,又可以发现他与此前的给侍僧在功能和作用上具有一致性,且两者此消彼长,难以共存。以西游故事图像作为参照,沙和尚早期多被绘成沙弥的形象,进一步佐证了他本于给侍僧的转化。
Monk Sha's character attributes and naming show that he is different from Monkey King and Pigsy and consistent with Monk Xuanzang, which may be related to the source of his image. When Monk Sha is examined in the evolution of the story of pilgrimage to fetch Buddhist scriptures, it can be found that he is consistent in function and role with the previous acolyte. But the two are difficult to coexist as one falls , another rises. Taking the image of the story of the Journey to the west as a reference, Monk Sha was painted as the image of Shami(沙弥) in the early days. which further confirmed his transformation to the acolyte.
