摘要
随着西力东渐的殖民贸易浪潮日益强劲，１９世纪中叶以来日本横滨被迫开港，成为欧美国家与亚洲进行贸易的重要基地。欧美国家开通的东亚航线把横滨与中国东南沿海地区紧密联系起来，中国人由此开始移住横滨并逐渐形成了华侨社会。日本横滨的华侨社会为当地经济文化的繁荣和中日友好往来做出了不可磨灭的贡献。
With the shock from the western colonialism, Japan was forced to open up from the middle of 19th century. Yokohama became one of the important base by which the western countries sqeezed in the Asian trade. The Eastern Asia shipping line via Yokohama tied closely with the South-eastern China. Thus Chinese came to Yokohama and the overseas Chinese community was in the making there. The overseas Chinese community in Yokohama made great contribution to the local development and the relations between China and Japan.
