In this paper, one new species and a record of Dasyhelea from northwest China are described. Type specimens are deposited in the Medical Entomological Collection, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing, China. 1. Dasyhelea (Pseudoculicoides) effusa Liu et Yu, sp. nov. (Figs.1~2) The new species has 6 bristles on clypeus. Wing length is 1.05 mm, its width is 0.32 mm. There are 8 metatibial distae bristles and 19 metatibial comb. Tarsal TR: Fore tarsal is 2.17, middle tarsal is 2.73 and hind tarsal is 2.33. Aedeagus wide and blunt, paramere thin and aedeagus top is like a short hook. Apical dilation of parameres short and small. This new species is similar to Dasyhelea similinigrina distributed in Afghanistan, but the differences between them is the morphology of aedeagus and paramere. The aedegus of the new species is apparently short and sharp, that of D. similinigrina is long and blunt. Holotype ♂, Paratypes 2♂♂, collected from Wuwei City of Gansu Province, in July 1988. 2. Dasyhelea (Pseudoculicoides) bifida Zilahi-Sebess, new record from China (Figs.3~5) Dasyhelea fasciigera bifida Zilahi-Sebess, 1936:44, Hungary. Dasyhelea furva Remm, 1967:21, Caucasus. Dasyhelea bifida Zilahi-Sebess, Navai 1994:364, Afghanistan. Specimens studied: 1♂, Wuwei City, Gansu, in July 1988; 1♂, Yinchuan City, Ningxia, in July 1972; 3♂♂, Tacheng and Hejing of Xinjiang, in July 1986.
