龟背竹气生根具多层表皮组成的根被;皮层中广泛分布有毛状石细胞和含结晶的粘液腔,并在最内部有3层细胞壁极端加厚的细胞层围绕着维管柱。维管柱内无髓。
The epidermis of the aerial root of Monstera dellciosa develops into multiseriate tissue ——the velamen. Trichosclerids and mucilage cavities with crystals are distribute widely over the cortical tissue. The walls of cortex cells of th innermost three layers are extremely thickened. No pith is present in the central portion of the vascular cylinder.
