摘要
英国驻新疆领事馆是近代英国在中亚争夺角逐的工具，是英国对新疆政治、经济、文化侵略渗透的触角，它的开设、广泛活动和终结与近代新疆社会发展息息相关，在历史上产生重要影响，并留下值得深思的启示。
The authors holds that the former British Consulates in Xinjiang was a tool of the later modern Britain for the Great Game of Central Asia and they were also an“ feeler” with which UK practiced its political, economic and cultural aggression and infiltration to Xinjiang. The establishment, extensive activities and ending of the British Consulates in Xinjiang had very close link with the social development of Xinjiang, which had its important influences and enlightenment that needs to think about.
