摘要
VirtualRealityModelingLanguage (VRML)是因特网三维浏览的标准 ,它也可以作为一种基础手段用于产品设计 ,同时考虑制造与装配问题 .这样 ,在地理上分散的合作伙伴可以互相共享设计能力 ,通过因特网或企业网来完成面向制造与装配的产品设计 .本文提出了一种基于VRML的并行设计环境 ,用于支持跨平台的异地三维产品设计 .此外 ,该环境中还集成了工程图纸、仿真动画、视频以及其他多媒体数据 ,并留有接口支持DFMA专家系统帮助人们决策 .
VRML is the standard for Internet 3D browsing. It can also be used as a fundamental base for product design, not only displaying product appearance, but also considering its manufacturing and assembly problem. Thus, geographic_distributed partners can share or contribute their design capabilities each other to complete a common product design for manufacturing and assembly via Internet/Intranet. This paper proposes a VRML_based concurrent design environment to support remote 3D product design activities across different kinds of computer platforms. Besides, we have also combined other related information such as engineering drawing, simulation animation, video and other multimedia data and have even adopted an expert system tool for DFMA to help people making suitable decision.
