摘要
在"五四"文学革命之前，的确有过近代文学史阶段；"五四"以来的中国现代文学史的下限，当在20世纪80年代中期；此后可以视之为进入一般意义上的"当代文学"阶段。如此分期，并非割裂中国近百年来的中国文学发展史，而在于承认对文学史现象作分阶段考察研究的正当性。
There was a literature history phase called 'pre modern Chinese literature' history before 'May 4th' literature revolution. After that, it entered another phase called modern Chinese literature history un til the mid -80's. Then the so-called 'conte-mporary literature' phase came. It is not to cut apart the hundred years of Chinese liberature history, but to show the necessity to analyze the history in terms of a few phases which constit ute a complete whole.
