摘要
科研和教学被公认为现代大学的两项基本职能,但一直难以协调起来,所谓的“统一”只是地理意义上的共存。网络时代的传统大学需要分离这两项职能,分别组建专门从事教学的教育机构和专门从事研究的科研机构,从而促进教育质量的提高,出现真正的科研繁荣。
Research and instruction are identified as two essential functions of modern universities, but have never been integrated properly. Their “unification” is only the geographically co-existing. In order to achieve the competitive advantages, conventional universities in network times are required to separate these two functions, that is, to build up the special educational institutions dedicated to instruction and special research institutions dedicated to research. As a result, there will be a enhancement of educational quality and realistic academic prosperity.
