我国从1974—1983年开始,对东海进行大规模调查,是区域概查至油气普查阶段,并在西湖凹陷平湖构造上获高产油流.其主要成果有:“东海浙东坳陷地质构造特征及油气资源评价”、“东海盆地早期油气资源评价”、“东海地质构造特征及油气资源研究”.
With an area of 77 x 104km2, the East China Sea is an oil- and gas-be-aring basin with brilliant prospects. Since 1968, companies from many countr-ies have carried out some fragmental surveys here and there. China began its large-scale petroleum survey in the sea in 1974. From 1974 to 1977, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources (MGMR) conducted a reconnaissance survey covering 73 x 104km2 of the East China Sea. In 1978-1980, Bureau of Marine Geological Investigation (BMGI) of MGMR turned the survey into an oil and gas prospecting and, for the first time, struck high-pressure gas-bearing beds in the Longjing structure of the Xihu depression. In 1981-1982, strong oil/gas flows were first drilled in the Pinghu structure of the Xihu depression. These prove that the East China Sea has a good oil-gas prospect. From 1983, MGMR started to focus its attention on prospecting and exploration, successively carried out over I05km of seismic profiles, 105km of magnetic survey and 105km of gravitational survey, drilled 14 wells, discovered an oilfield and two oil/gas-bearing structures. At that time, the most prolific offshore oil/gas well in China was built.
From 1981 China National Offshore Oil Coporation (CNOOC) also began to throw itself into the oil and gas prospecting in the East China Sea. Up to now, several ten thousand kilometers of seismic profiles were made and two prospecting wells were drilled.
At the same time, scientific researches in probing geologie laws of oil and gas in the sea were also continuously deepened. In 1983, the preliminary report, 'Geological Structural Characteristics and Oil/Gas Resource Assessment of Zhedong Depression in the East China Sea', one of the national scientific-technologic key items during the Sixth Five-Year Plan undertaken by BMGI of MGMR, was submitted. In 1984, CNOOC submitted' the research report 'Assessment of Oil and Gas in Early Stage in the East China Sea Basin'.
